About Me
Hello, my name is Florian Kretzschmar or simply “Flo” and I am a game developer from Germany. I’m from Bad Liebenwerda, a small town in the south of Brandenburg, , but have been living in Bayreuth for several years now and am currently studying for a Master’s degree in Computer Game Science at the University of Bayreuth.
I’ve actually been interested in video games for as long as I can remember and even before my studies I made my first attempts to develop my own games. What I find most important and fascinating is the interactivity that the game medium can offer. My focus of interest is therefore on programming and creating a good and fluid gaming experience.
Apart from video games, I also enjoy watching movies, series and anime, and every now and then I get involved in sport by playing volleyball or table tennis.
Work experience
I have also been working professionally in game development since 2019. The following section lists the game companies where I have contributed my expertise. Where possible, I will also go into more detail about the specific areas and systems I have been actively involved in.
Projects
Here I present some of my larger projects that were created outside of a professional environment. A playable version for Windows can be downloaded either from Itch.IO or from the corresponding releases on GitHub. For projects where this is not (yet) possible, a download of a Windows version will be made available as soon as the project is in a playable state. On the individual pages for the games, I provide more information about my respective contribution and offer some additional details.
Archive
The archive is a collection point for smaller or older projects that don’t necessarily need to be in the spotlight here, but that I’m still proud of. Here I was able to try my hand at other facets of game development, such as 3D modeling. The majority of these projects were created in game jams and can be played directly on Itch.IO in the browser or downloaded as a Windows version.
